Hello and welcome to my blog This blog is about my fishing journey to document the highs and lows of fishing, but also to help give you and other anglers tips or advice. I main fish for carp but do fish for other specimens like catfish, trout, pike the list goes on. Currently my PB carp is 25lb mirror caught at Cackle Hills Speci 2 lake, PB catfish is 29lb caught at Charlies lake, Ashford

I have been fishing for the past 3 years trying different methods, different rigs to help land fish. 

To me the important thing I believe when anyone that wants to fish is to have confidence in all your gear and keep it simple. Bait is the main thing to have confidence in, I was part of Munga Baits for the past 2 years and during those years I landed the PB Mirror, caught a club record, landed loads of carp but my confidence in the bait was high and didn't want to try any other brands but sadly Munga baits is closed so now I'm going to try and find another bait company that gives me the same confidence as Munga.

End tackle is the second main importance to have confidence in, you want hooks that are razor sharp that will land you potentially you new PB on the next bite, that doesn't get blunt after one bite or snap under pressure. people will have there own opinions on what brand they prefer but if that gives them confidence and peace of mind so be it. My tip for anyone who's starting to get into fishing is keep everything simple, you can watch all the videos on how to tie rigs, different presentations of bait then start to over think, you don't have to have all the fancy gear, rig to catch. Even the simplest rig can land you a big carp. On this blog I will show you how to tie different rigs for different presentation to help you catch over different scenarios and to help you gain more

Angling trust update

On 16th March the Angling trust gave all the UK anglers the news that they've been looking for, from 29th March night fishing will be allowed, match fishing can resume. This is the news I've been waiting for a long time, I'm not the only one. Tackle shops and other 'non-essential retail' can fully open on 12th April so of your looking to try some rods or reels you wont have to wait much longer plus you can stock up on your tackle.
