Journal update

So its been a while since I last done a blog post, it has been a hectic few months, I last did my fishing session in Kent at Cackle Hills Fishery in August, only landed a baby Catfish on speci 1 during a 36 hour session. Was good to finally catch something from there, gave a very good fight caught on Monster hellfish from BC hookbaits. But since then I have moved up, over the boarder into Scotland. Carp fishing is slowly on the rise in Scotland but have found a few places to try but wont be able to get there for a while unfortunately, but also I can give Fly Fishing ago again as there's lots of places to go and really excited to see how I get on.

However sadly BC hookbaits will no longer be operating due to current circumstances, Rob explained to everyone on the team why he decided to do it. We all understand and support his decision, wish him all the best. Just want to thank Rob aswell for letting me doing the videos and launch BC Hookbaits TV I understand there wasn't much content but with working fulltime and with other priorities I can limit a small amount of time but it was a great learning curve for me and looking forward to seeing what more I can do in the future whether its for myself or for another team/company.

Since BC Hookbaits announced that its closing I have been looking into what bait to use. Chris a good friend of mine who ran Munga Baits in the past has been using Crucial Baits, Chris has over 30 years of bait making experience and when he says its top quality and amazing he truly means it. When the time comes for me to get bait for the next session I will try the L1s have also spoken to other people about Crucial Baits and they have a lot of confidence in Crucial Baits and highly recommend them, can see me using the L1s the Rigworx end tackle will be a nice combo and lead to lots of fish. I am aiming to get a session sometime next month just need to wait and see what happens.

Rigworx have recently released a new hook range the X range, currently in Long Shank, Curve 45, Wide gape and Chod. If your ever planning on going to France and need to stock up on end tackle, I highly recommend this range, super strong, razor sharp will bag you some of the biggens in the lake I know someone landed a 60lb carp on this range, but will also save you lots of money which is an added bonus, rather spending over £6 for a pack of hooks that snap or get blunt on one bite you'll get top quality strong hooks that don't snap nor get blunt after one bite for under £5, bargin.

T & T PVA Mesh is still going strong, Top quality mesh as always from this company, in my eyes its the best mesh in angling, perfect for stick mix and help you give great hook presentation. Its great to see a family business still going strong especially after what's happened the past 2 years, I will try and do a review video for the blog and my Youtube channel as I've used T & T PVA Mesh for just under a year and truly am a big fan of the product, been a great asset to my fishing which has landed me lots of fish. Well that's why I haven't been blogging or on the bank recently but will hope to be out there soon to land my first scottish carp
