Getting started : Waggler fishing

Image
When people start to get into fishing they will start with the Waggler (float) fishing, plus there's nothing more exciting then watching the float sink underwater when you get a bite. You don't have to cast far when your fishing with the Waggler ideally 20-30 yards. You may also find a good deal down at your local tackle shop to get you on the bank. Rod With the waggler rod you can get them from 9ft to 14ft, one of the things you'll like about the waggler is that its light so you can carry it up and down the river or around the lake and you don't have to worry about a rod rest, when fishing for silver fish or smal...

How to: Hair Rig

Image
On the first How to, I will show you how to tie a hair rig. The hair rig is the basic and standard rig that every carp angler started out with, when peoples angling skills improve over time they sometimes revert back to this basic rig and catch more than the most complex rigs. You only need 7 items to construct this rig Hook (size is down to you but I prefer size 6) Coated braid hook link Braid stripper Boilie Hair stopper Scissors Baiting needle Please watch the video below. If your having trouble head over to my youtube channel step 1 Cut the coated braid 10''-12'' long and tie a small loop at one end (use the figure of 8 loop) step 2  Push the baiting needle through the boilie then attach it to the small loop, then push the boilie onto the braid hook link step 3 Add hair stopper onto the braid hook link to prevent the boilie falling off step 4 Thread the other end of the braid hook link through the back of the hook eye, you want the hair long enough to dangle below t...
